when does my sponsorship end with my child in Uganda? Does he stop the program when he goes to college?

Hi Crissy!
The maximum age for children to stay in the program in Uganda is 22 years of age. I see that Sumairi is only 16 at this time. His estimated completion date is set for June 2023. :)

When does he graduate and go on to college? He told me in a letter he wants to go to college to be an engineer. I wondered if his sponsorship last through college

It depends on the child but if they graduate high school on time and have the fees to attend college, then they are able to attend Compassion while they are in collage yes, I sponsor several college/university students.

Hi Crissy! I don't know that for sure since he is still only 16 at the moment, but I think he is probably in 8th grade right now based on the information we have in our system. He will probably finish high school well before he turns 22 and may have opportunities for college or vocational training after that.
