When I send an additional gift, such as a birthday gift, how are those funds used for my child?

You will get a thank you with a list of what was purchased and (if over $60) a picture. Often kids get clothes and/or food with smaller amounts. My girl in UGanda got two sheep and a lamb plus a slip (undergarment for a skirt I think) with her birthday gift last year.

My girl in Rwanda got chickens

Hi Nicole,

As Sarah said, items really do depend on the amount you sent, where they live and what they may need at the time. You will receive a thank you letter though explaining how your gift was used, and again if you do decide to give more than $60, you will also receive a photo. :) I hope this helps!
