I just recieved a letter from my sponsor child, she informed me that her father was very sick and had to go to the hospital. My sponsor child used her birthday gift money to pay for medicine for her father (bless her heart) and the letter is from 3 months ago. I completely understand that it takes time for letters to get back and forth. I guess what I am asking, Is if there can be some kind of alert in emergency situations so that we may help the family in a time of financial need (hospitalization, or medicine) and have the transfer of the "gift" made quickly so that if there is a life threatening problem, and money is the thing preventing treatment, I can do what I can to help. This is just a suggestion. But I would love to have some kind of alert, when a serious family illness occurs. Especially where my child is from. I know her father is the sole provider for the family, and when he cannot work, the whole family can suffer. I trust that God knows what he is doing in times such as these, but it has me on edge that her father was not doing well 3 months ago, and I don't know the outcome of the hospitalization yet. I felt the need to give a family gift 2 weeks ago, but it may be 2-3 months before they recieve it, and I am just anxious... Please help!!
