Hello again,

I've recently mailed both of my sponsored children letters through the snail mail. I realize this takes longer but I've sent them weeks ago and there are still no record of them in my account. How long does it take them to be scanned and shown on my end?

Thanks.

Hi Amanda,
Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your question! Typically we see about 2-3 weeks to process a letter that comes to us via snail mail. However, October is our busiest month of the year because it is when most supporters are sending in Christmas cards and donations. This is likely why you are seeing the delay in these letters. If you still do not see these letter appear on your account within another couple weeks, feel free to reach out to us and check to see if we can see some sort of delay on our end. I hope this is helpful! :)

Thank you, I will keep checking back. The ones I sent snail mail were introductory letters so I wanted them to receive those first before I sent any others to avoid confusion but one has a Birthday this month so I went ahead and sent a card digitally. I also wanted to do Christmas cards but I will wait a little while to see if these snail mail letters show up. Thanks again.

I sponsored on Oct 29 last year and sent my introduction letter through the snail mail last year. (too late to send anything for Christmas) It eventually showed up on my account in mid-December.  Yes, I got my online account and sent at least one letter that way before the introduction letter showed up on my account. I'm sure my girl was overjoyed to receive it anyway.

Hi Amanda!
I think it may be a good idea to wait to see if these letter come through before sending more snail mail letters, however, I wouldn't wait too long for Christmas letters. We want to make sure that your letters arrive on time for the holiday so I would make sure to send them at least by the end of October! :)
