Hi Hannah! The source code would be on the form you used to sign up (see picture below). That said, in your case, it looks like the source code would be 25541. Thanks so much for choosing to love and support a child in poverty!

I tried that number and it says she could not be found. Is the number supposed to have 6 digits, like the one in the picture?
I started sponsoring by finding her online. I don't remember seeing a sheet like this, but I can check my browser history to see if I can find the checkout page and see if that has the number.
Thank you for your help!

Hannah, since you signed up online, you won't see a source code or have a sheet like the one Susan provided above. I'm not sure why that source code isn't working for you since it's the one we have listed for your child's sponsorship. I'd encourage you to give that first donation using the following link instead. It won't ask you for the source code, just the child's ID number. Let me know if you need that as well. https://www.compassion.com/epayment/

What is the source code? What is it used for?

Steve, it is used to help us to keep track of where children find sponsors. We are then able to hone our strategy in finding sponsors for children as quickly as possible. It also helps us to give credit where credit is due among employees and advocates.
