Where in the app do I get to 'write' to my child. My app opens directly to stories and videos. I get nothing else.

Where in the Compassion app do I get to 'write' to my child. My app opens directly to stories and videos. I get nothing else.

At the top left corner of the screen there is a pull down menu that will take you to your account.

I installed the app on both my iPhone & iPad a few days ago. At first it worked and I was excited to see some of my kids, maps, photo of some of the centers - then it stopped working. Now when I click on the app link a cover photo from Compassion shows up for a few seconds but there is no pulldown menus or any place to click or swipe. After a few seconds, the picture disappears and the app closes. I finally gave up and probably will just delete the app. Took so long to download that I'm really disappointed it doesn't work. :(

Hi Sandy, I'm sorry that you're having trouble getting the app to work. Do you have all the latest system updates installed on your phone and iPad? I think Compassion recommends having the latest operating system on devices when using the app.

Let me know if you get any errors or are unable to access this page! I'll need to know your OS version, mobile device type, and carrier you're using so that I can have our web team help you troubleshoot the issues you have.  

Sandy, I'm sorry that the app isn't working for you :(. I know it's frustrating to eagerly download an app and have it not work properly. It's a very new app and so there are some bugs that we're still working out for sponsors that it's not working for but we appreciate your patience. I really think you'll enjoy all of the new features on the app once it begins working properly for you! 

I would encourage you to try clearing your cache and logging out and back in again to the app. If you're using the most updated version of the app and all of your software is updated, my hope is that clearing your cache would fix the issue. I've made our web team aware of this issue and they're working on a fix for our sponsors whom clearing the cache doesn't work for. This fix will be released in our next update which will be in the next week or so. If you decide to continue using the app and install our new update in this next week, let us know if you continue to experience problems and we'll keep troubleshooting your issue until we resolve it and it works properly for you :).
