What is Compassion's Where Most Needed Program? I got a letter saying that I donated money for the progeam. Does it give bday gifts to our sponsored kids?

Hi Jasmine! The Where Most Needed fund is a general fund that is used to provide for a variety of essential needs for children in living in poverty such as water, food, medical care, vaccines, or school supplies and equipment. You can read more about it here.

I don't believe the Where Most Needed fund is used to provide birthday gifts; I think that fund is used only for critical needs. We are able to give birthday gifts specifically to our sponsored kids through our online "My Account." To send a birthday gift, just log into your account and click on the "Additional Giving" button in the left column and then select an amount from the "Birthday Gift" drop down box next to your child's name. Thank you so much for your generosity! Had you intended on donating a birthday gift to your child rather than donating to the Where Most Needed fund?

Yes, it was supposed to go toward Nupur's bday. Compassion sent me an envelop for a financial donation for Nupur's bday, but i guess they sent the money to this program instead. Is there anyone that can look into it?

Hi Jasmine! I'm so sorry for the confusion about the birthday gift you are generously giving to Nupur! Your gift was only placed in the Where Most Needed fund temporarily, but rest assured that it will indeed be sent on to Nupur :).

Thank you for getting everything figured out for me! I am still pretty new to this so I don't really know how all of this works. :)
