Hi Pete,

Up until the new system went into place on April 11 of this year, Compassion did not save copies of our children's letters for us online.  If you did not keep a copy of your child's letters, you probably will not be able to look back at them.  This has all changed with the new letter writing system, so any new letters you receive will have an electronic copy saved to your account.  The system is a little buggy right now, so things aren't quite smoothed out yet, but Compassion is working to fix everything for us.

Have you created an online account yet?  If so, go to 'Write my child', located on the left side of the screen.

This will take you to the section where your communications with your child are kept.

I just want to clarify...so the letters we send by "snail mail" will also be saved to our account?

Hi Mariah! Yes, that's correct. All letters to and from our kids will be scanned and saved in our MyAccount. If you're using your own stationery, please be sure to write your sponsor number and your child's name and number on all letters that you send. A staff member will check the letter before it's scanned, but the scanner will need that information to assign the letter to your account. :)

Hopping on to an older thread here as I've been looking for some letters to children I no longer correspond with. Is there any way to see these letters now on the new system? For example, I used to view my old letters to find child numbers for their Final Letter, as well as find verbiage I used about specific topics for kids of certain ages. Also, that was the most convenient way for me to see the complete list of all the children I've bee paired with, in one way or another, during my time with Compassion.

Hi Lindsay! Right now, those old letters are not showing in the new system. When more updates to our system are released later this year, you will be able to start seeing those letters again. I know it's pretty sad not to see them right now. We are always happy to provide you with the child IDs for kids who are leaving the program.

In trying to upload my first letter, I "lost" my letter from my child. Is there a way to get it reloaded so I have it? Was trying to upload a pdf - which i found out you cannot do - and had too many drafts. I think I may have deleted it by accident

Hi Lisa! I am so sorry that you cannot find your letter from your child! Are you in your account online or on the app when trying to find the letter? The directions are different depending on how you are accessing your account. I promise your child's letter wasn't deleted though :)!

I just started a GoFundMe to help with feeding the orphans , clothing , sheltering them and sending them to school . It would mean a lot to me if you checked it out and considered donating or sharing it on your Facebook Timeline! Even a $5 donation will help me get closer to my goal. Thanks again for considering. .. blessings as you do this.

If you have your account set up to notify you, you will get an email when a letter is on your account ready to be read.
