In most countries, sponsorship actually ends at older than age 18. the absolute oldest they can be in the program is the day they turn 23.  The "Oldest" age for Compassion is 22 but some centers think that means the day they turn 22 and some  allow them to spend their 22nd year.  Other centers kids age out of at 18. My oldest sponsored child (in Ecuador) was supposed to leave at the end of her 18th year and ended up leaving early, when she turned 18. But I know at other centers in Ecuador they can stay on longer.

Hi Steve, thank you for reaching out to us today! I apologize for the confusion about the graduation age of your sponsored child. What Sarah said is correct, and I also see you called in earlier this morning and was able to cancel your sponsorship at that time. Please let us know if there's anything else that you need from us!
