Hello, Dawn! Thank you for reaching out to us! I would be happy to make sure your gift was processed successfully. Regrettably, I couldn't find your account using the email address you provided. Would you please provide us with your sponsor number, or your child's ID number?

Thank you so much for responding, Dawn! From what I can see, we did receive and process a Christmas gift on November 2nd. Where is it not showing up? Has it not cleared your bank account or card statement yet, or is it not showing up on your account's giving history on our site?

Oh, I see what you mean! When a Christmas donation is given, it is pooled into Compassion's Christmas fund (regardless of the amount). This fund is an accumulation of all the Christmas donations that our sponsors give each year. Then, around Christmas time, the fund is evenly disbursed for all of the children in our programs, which means that each child will receive an equal value gift through this fund. We distribute Christmas gifts this way to ensure that all children (including ones who do not have sponsors) receive a gift at Christmas. Under this program, your child is automatically covered for a Christmas gift. Your contribution (along with other sponsors') is crucial to making this program possible. If you would like me to, I would be happy to re-designate those funds as a gift for Deborah or her family. The limit we can process for Deborah is $100, and for the family, we can process $25 - $1,000 per calendar year. How would you like those funds to be distributed?

Yes, of course! I have requested that those funds you sent be applied as a Family Gift, rather than to our Christmas fund. :)
