Where is the money I sent for my child’s Christmas gift?

Oh, I see what you mean! When a Christmas donation is given, it is pooled into Compassion's Christmas fund (regardless of the amount). This fund is an accumulation of all the Christmas donations that our sponsors give each year. Then, around Christmas time, the fund is evenly disbursed for all of the children in our programs, which means that each child will receive an equal value gift through this fund. We distribute Christmas gifts this way to ensure that all children (including ones who do not have sponsors) receive a gift at Christmas. Under this program, your child is automatically covered for a Christmas gift. Your contribution (along with other sponsors') is crucial to making this program possible. If you would like me to, I would be happy to re-designate those funds as a gift for Deborah or her family. The limit we can process for Deborah is $100, and for the family, we can process $25 - $1,000 per calendar year. How would you like those funds to be distributed?
