why can I only visit my sponsor child for one day?

Anna, I am so sorry for the confusion and frustration in regards to visiting your child. We are sincerely not trying to keep you from spending more time with your child! However, on sponsor tours over the years we have seen hundreds of child visits and found that often a visit of more than a day can be exhausting and overwhelming for most sponsors. Typically conversation fizzles out and sponsors are ready to complete the visit after meeting for six hours. As far as the cost, it really varies depending on how far your child had to travel to meet you, what activities you are doing together, and the local costs for these things in your child's country. Typically when we are planning a visit, we ask our field office to provide an estimate of any anticipated costs specific to your visit arrangements. However, you are welcome to email our visits team (visits@compassion.com) with specifics of what you are planning and ask them how much they would guess that it would cost so that you can save up. 

Awesome thanks! Also, I will be staying in Salem, then traveling to see them, so would there be anyway I could ask someone info? Like where I should stay around them and where i should visit first? The are spread around India so I'm just trying to plan ahead.
