Why do we have to call to make a donation to the center itself

I want to make a center donation but it says I have to call. I can’t just simply do a transaction like I do with giving monetary gifts to my sponsor children. Just curious why.

Thank you so much for your desire to give a gift to your child's center! Please know that the way our system processing is, we are not able to allow these gifts to be processed through the website at this time. We do hope that in the future this option may become available. In the meantime, if you would like, we can process this for you instead of having you call in your donation. We are not able to process this directly through your checking account, but we can absolutely do so using your card on file. I am so sorry for any inconvenience this causes you, but if you would like us to process this gift, please email us at socialmedia@compassion.com with the amount you would like to give, the project number and the last four digits of your credit card number to confirm what card you would like us to use.
