Why is my child not showing up on my account

I just started sponsoring a child yesterday and she has not shown up on my account. The woman I talked to on the phone said she was my child but I did not receive a confirmation email either.

Elyse, we are still working to place the child on your account, which is why you cannot yet see her on your online account. As soon as her sponsorship has been finalized, she will show up. We have to receive the first donation for the child before we are able to finalize the sponsorship. Once you send in the first donation for her, we can do so for you :). You'll receive a packet of information in the mail in the next few weeks with instructions on how to send in that donation. We also don't send email confirmations when sponsorships are set up over the phone.
