Christy, I’m so sorry that your sweet girl’s letter has been in translation for a couple weeks now. I understand your eagerness to read your kiddo’s precious letter, and we are so grateful for your desire to build a relationship with her through your correspondence. The amount of time a letter is in translation may vary across different field offices and tasks at hand. It may take a couple weeks or a couple months. Please rest assured there is nothing wrong with a letter that stays in translation longer than others. There are many variables involved with each individual letter. Please rest assured that Hortense’s letters is being taken care of as quickly and most efficiently as possible. You are welcome to inquire about letters that have been in process more than several months, but if a letter is still in translation, we may need to simply allow that letter to go through the process. I’m so sorry for the wait, and we appreciate your understanding and patience.
