I have been with compassion for 4 years, and have only received 2 picture of My child! I have even called compassion to ask questions! I have been hung up on twice... And spoken too very rudely the other times. I just want to be kept updated on the child I m giving money to every month. I write her, and never get letters in return, I ask for pictures, never get them. I a, very discouraged with compassion..... I feel like they just take my money and give no account to the fact that I would like to know how my child is........

I am sorry you feel this way. Because hundreds (usually around 250) kids attend each Compassion center, they can only update pictures every one and a half to two years. It is such a big task.
Whenever I have called Compassion, they have been very helpful. I know of many people who have positive experiences with calling Compassion too.
I am very glad that you write to your child. Please know that your letters are an encouragement to her. Depending on how often you write you will get 2 (if you don't write) to six (if you write once a month) letters from your child each year. If you have not gotten a letter in six months, please call compassion again. They will look into it and see if a letter is on the way.
Please don't be discouraged. You are really helping your child. She is so blessed to have a sponsor who loves her.

Compassion updates the child's photo every two years; therefore if you have sponsored for four years then you should have only received two.

Hey Amber! Don't be sad! It sounds like you have received some bad service, and that is definitely not what we want.
I tried to find your account, but was unable to. Please call or email us so we can take a look at your account and see what's going on. If it has been more than 6 months since you have heard from your child, we will contact our field staff right away to ask them to have her write a letter.
As Lizzie mentioned, we do only update children's information every two years formally. We rely on correspondence between you and your child to keep you informed in between the formal updates.
