The child I sponsor lives in Colombia, but many of the information that is accompanied with her account has the information listed for Ecuador. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi Miranda! It looks like you sponsor beautiful Nicol! Actually, Nicol does live in Ecuador. Was there information provided to you that showed she lived in Colombia instead?

Sorry for the late response. She actually does live in Colombia. Leah's comment below explains the situation.

There is a center in Ecuador that serves a lot of Colombia children. I wonder if she goes to that center?  ETA: EC-701

Hi Sarah! Thank you for your assistance with this concern. You are right, her child attends project, EC0700, which is close to the border of Ecuador and is overseen by Compassion there. :-)

Hi Miranda! Sorry about the confusion. Your sponsored child does attend a center in the coastal community of Tumaco, a seaport city in Columbia. Because Tumaco is so close to the Ecuadorian border, the center is overseen by Compassion Ecuador. This is why all the information you are receiving indicates Ecuador and not Columbia.

Thank you! Yes, I'd wondered about this for awhile. When I originally sponsored her I was under the impression that she lived in Colombia, but then on different places of the website and on paperwork it would at times say Ecuador. In a personal letter to me she mentioned her town name and I could confirm that it was indeed in Colombia. But that makes sense if the center is connected to Ecuador. Thanks for clearing that up.
